Psychological Assessment Reports

School teams and parents come to us with overall concerns about a child’s needs — questions like, “is this developmentally appropriate?” or “why is this one thing so challenging for him?” Our Psychologists can take a deeper look into many areas of need, to include: social and emotional, attention and memory. Using online questionnaires, standardized assessments and clinical interviews, our skilled, licensed professionals can help children and adults understand their relative strengths and needs and create an actionable plan of support. In addition, we collaborate as a team to support individualized assessment reports for children who are bilingual or multilingual. This work involves connecting multiple clinicians with families to ensure that all aspects of development, language, and educational success are explored. We have bilingual team members to ensure that children and families have targeted individualized support around language during assessment work.

Multidisciplinary Screening

Sometimes, students present a complicated profile in the classroom and at home. In the absence of in-person assessment (due to travel restrictions or family dynamics and logistics) the IDS Multidisciplinary Screening serves as a valuable tool to understand a child’s needs from multiple clinical perspectives. Using this screening, families and school team members can implement evidence-based interventions, strategies and tools immediately with an entire learning support team ready to guide them as needed.

Gifted & Talented Intake

Students with specific needs in the Gifted & Talented area need individualized plans as well. Our specialists can support children, families and school teams in understanding a child’s unique strengths and needs and create a plan of action to solidify those strengths and interests while at the same time supporting any areas of need identified by the team.
